Terms of Service

Last updated: October 17, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of batch0 (batch0.org), operated by Sparkline Youth LLC. batch0 was formerly known as Sparkline Youth; the name changed, the operating entity did not. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

batch0 is intended for high schoolers, generally ages 13–18. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the platform.

Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Don't share your credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, tell us straight away at batch0.org/support — or email hello@batch0.org if you can't get in to file it.

Payments

batch0 charges a one-time enrollment fee per cohort. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. Prices are listed in USD. Except as stated in our refund policy, all payments are final; by paying, you agree to that policy. Refund requests and billing problems go through a support request at batch0.org/support or an email to hello@batch0.org; both count, as the refund policy explains.

Text messages

If you opt in at batch0.org/dashboard/phone, batch0 may text that number about the program: a session starting, a schedule change, a deadline. We don’t send promotional or marketing texts. Opting in is a separate choice from creating an account or paying: agreeing to texts is not a condition of applying, enrolling, or any purchase, and declining costs you nothing — everything still reaches you by email. Texts aren’t offered to applicants under 13.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply; those are charged by your mobile carrier, not by us. Reply STOP to any message to stop all batch0 texts to that number, START to resubscribe, or HELP for our contact details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and we don’t guarantee that any particular text arrives or arrives on time — your dashboard and email are the authoritative record of schedules and deadlines. Only opt in a number that is yours. The full explanation is at batch0.org/texts, and what we do with the number is in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don't use batch0 to harass other users, infringe intellectual property, distribute malware, or attempt to compromise the platform's security. Our Community Guidelines spell out what that means in batch0 Chat and in live sessions.

Content you upload

You retain ownership of anything you upload (drafts, files, pitch decks, submissions). You grant batch0 a limited license to host and display your content for the purpose of running the program.

Your ideas, your IP, your company

You own 100% of your idea, your intellectual property, and any company you build during or after the program. batch0 does not take equity, royalties, revenue share, or any ownership interest in your business as a condition of participating. We don't claim your IP, we don't license your work to third parties, and we don't sell information about your idea. Mentors, instructors, and staff are bound by the same rule.

The only thing we ask: permission to attribute. We may publicly mention that a project, founder, or company "was built at batch0" or "started in a batch0 cohort" — for example, in case studies, alumni lists, social posts, and our website. This is attribution only and creates no ownership, partnership, or agency relationship between batch0 and your business. If you'd prefer not to be named publicly, tell us at batch0.org/support or email hello@batch0.org, and we'll honor that.

Termination

You can ask us to delete your account at any time — open a request at batch0.org/support or email hello@batch0.org. batch0 may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer

batch0 is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee business, revenue, investment or college admission outcomes. Demo Day is a staff-hosted showcase of student submissions with moderated written questions. Guest investors, funding and prizes are not guaranteed or included in tuition.

Contact

Questions about these terms, or a problem to report: open a request at batch0.org/support. You get a reference number and a reply from a person. If you can't sign in, email hello@batch0.org.
